Make 1 Difference 2013
1
There is power in that number.
Because 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1
= Many Differences for Orphans
A real and lasting difference.
Food. Clothing. Shelter. Water. --The Basics of Life.
Love. Home. Family.-- The Heart of Living.
School. Education. Training.-- The Chance to Live with Purpose.
Bibles. Jesus. Forgivess. A relationship. -- The Gift of Eternal Life.
Discipleship. Growth. Evangelism. -- Living to make a Difference in Others.
These are the Differences You Can Make In a Child's Life.
The Difference between Life and Death exist in the number 1.
1 Person whom has been blessed with much can choose to give to 1 whom has little.
And together with our Christian brothers and sisters in other countries who are on the ground making differences daily, your 1 will provide a place for an orphan to live, to go to school, and to hear about Jesus.
This is from an update we received from our "House of Hope" in Central Asia. Because of the location of our house we can not provide specifics of locations or names. All names have been changed to protect the identity of the workers.

In October we celebrated Zane's birthday. It was a time of warm wishes and celebration. This was a stark contrast to his early life celebrations. When Zane was 6, his parents sent him, his brother and his sister to live in the orphanage here in town. Both of his parents were alcoholics and his father later died of alcoholism. His mother became homeless. In the orphanage Zane discovered he had the gift of drawing. He is a talented artist and has had his paintings in many exhibitions. In 2008 he finished school at the orphanage. Because he did not have anyplace to go, he came to live at House of Hope. Since then he has entered the University in our town. Even though he has lived with our family for four years, he has not wanted to have anything to do with the Bible Studies or church services that we have in our home. Within this past year he has begun to attend church services and Bible Studies. We are praying that he will soon give his life to Christ.
It has taken 4 years of food, clothing, shelter, love, relationship building, family, schooling, and much prayer to get Zane to the place in his life where he is ready to hear about Jesus. 4 years of many individual 1's making a combined difference.
This is just 1 example of the power of 1.
This year Lovem Care started a 2nd Transition Home in Central Asia and is on the beginning stages of work in India. We would love to continue to help our friends in Honduras also, but this year we have not had the extra funds to give. We are praying for God to send us more individuals, families who want to
MAKE 1 Difference in the year 2013.
Is God calling you to be that 1?
Most people who read this will think that they don't have enough money to help. Have you ever considered that the same God who fed 5,000 with a few loaves of bread and some fish can multiply your monthly gift of $5.00 to make a difference? I do! I've seen God multiply His money and meet the needs in ways that only He can do.
If 160 new 1's gave $5 a month, our new Transition Home in Central Asia would be fully funded each month.
If 130 new 1's gave $5 a month, the children in India at Love in Deed Foundation would be able to have some provisions for meals, education, rent, medicines and Bible study.
If 140 new 1's gave $5 a month, we would be able to fully fund a kids kitchen in Honduras and feed children daily with a healthy meal and the Word of God.
There is so much that 1 can do.

Trip has been Postponed!
The upcoming trip to Central Asia has been postponed until the Spring of 2013. I do not have exact dates, but as soon as I do I will let you know. We are trying to go ahead and ship the hats as soon as possible to our teams that are in place. We would really like to get those hats to the children as soon as possible. Blessings on all of the hands who participated in making hats for the orphans.

You are Invited!
Have you ever wanted to go on a mission trip, but didn't know where or what to do?
How about a trip to Central Asia to work with orphans?
We are organizing a trip to work on our 2nd Transition Home to orphans who have aged out of the orphanage. The trip will consist of a couple of days visiting House of Hope (Our 1st transition home) and getting to visit the baby house orphanage and the older children's orphanage. Then you will travel to the new region we are working in and participate in light construction work at the new transition home. In both settings you will get the opportunity to work with the kids at the homes, and worship and fellowship.
The dates for the trip are October 5 - 14th. The cost will be about $2500.00 per person. We need 5 - 6 team members that love the Lord and want to minister to orphans.
Please pray about going on this trip and making a difference in the life of an orphan.

He's Still Working!
I'm so excited to share some FANTABULOUS News! X2
First, our second home in Central Asia has been rented, is currently being remodeled, and has 4 girls waiting to move in with the house parents! Whoop! Whoop! It seems like FOREVER since we have been hoping/praying to open a 2nd home.
So today, I'm asking you to please pray for:

So today, I'm asking you to please pray for:
- the transition for the new girls and the house parents. Pray for God's love to penetrate the girl's hearts and that they will desire to have a real and personal relationship with Jesus.
- the remodeling to take place quickly.
- the house parents--can you imagine 4 girls (orphans that have aged out around the age of 16 - 17) moving into your house at once?
- for government officials to approve of the house.
- for all of the helpers/workers who are helping coordinate everything in Central Asia.
- that God would provide the remaining $ needed to provide for their food, clothing and education.
- that these little ones would feel safe, and loved and begin to trust.
- that the workers will love them like Jesus would.
- that the couple who is heading this organization will feel strength and peace as they work daily with all of the needs around them.

Again . . . Only God!
Today I am in AWE! No really--AWE! God has been leading us to a new partnership in a new country. Right now I can not say much about when and where. But that will come--in time.
But let me just say that only God can be behind the details, only God can bring together like minded souls, and only God can challenge us to trust Him and Him alone.
Will you join me in prayer for:
- the orphans who need the basics to survive: food, clothing, and shelter.
- for those who serve the orphans and still do their other jobs.
- for those that supply the funds to meet the needs.
It's a real partnership--all of these that come together! And together is how we make a difference--1 child at a time!
Thank you Lord for letting me be a part of this ministry.

God is at Work!
God is at work EVERYWHERE!
Can you see Him?
Are You Looking?
Are You Expecting to See Him at Work?
These are questions we must ask ourselves continuously when we are involved in ministry.
Caring for the orphans and sharing the good news of Jesus can be overwhelming at times.
But God is still at work even when we are tired, busy, stressed, and weary.
He's at work ALL of the TIME!
Look for Him today!
Can you see Him?
